How do the media estimate crowd sizes Either modern facerecognizing technology, or (and almost as accurately) Jacob's Method: measure area, and then use the following metrics - most densely packed growed=2.5sq.ft/person, sparce crowd=10.sq.ft/person, somewhere in between around 4.5sq.ft/person.
